The Schmidt family and Kreuz Market held a launch party at their new location in Bryan, Texas on January 28, 2015 in preparation for an official opening on Monday, February 2, 2015.

Hot coals transported from Lockhart lit a celebratory fire in one of the pits and endless samples of meat were handed out to eager guests

I first met pit master Marco Oglesby in July of 2013 and have been watching him progress.  The samples didn’t disappoint and this location holds lots of promise.

With a large building located off of Highway 6 and a friendly staff to go with the food, this is a great barbecue option.

Lockhart is now only an hour and a half drive from Houston!
