HOUBBQ and Saint Arnold hosted their 4th annual Super Beef Sunday event Feb 5th, 2017. I am normally out of town on Super Bowl Sunday but this year elected to stay in Houston which allowed to me to attend the event. Three pit masters, the brewery, and Fluff Bake Bar combined to make this another fun and successful event.
With a limited amount of tickets sold the lines were extremely short, allowing attendees to get their fill of barbecue and brew without hassle. Pinkerton’s Barbecue served up brisket and bacon wrapped duck bites. Louie Mueller Barbecue handed out samples of beef rib sandwiched in a tasty croissant and also served a great new creation; hatch chili and beef rib sausage. Harlem Road Texas BBQ also had beef rib samples while offering jerk chicken wings plus sides of baked beans and potato salad.
Saint Arnold had plenty of beer on tap including their new pub crawl pale ale. Pre-ordered meat was available for those who where headed to watch the game after the event, and sweets from Fluff Bake Bar were offered for purchase to add a sweet ending to the event.
This was another fun event and I look forward to the 2017 Houston Barbecue festival coming April 9 which will feature more than twenty barbecue joints. Tickets are available by clicking here.
